SGF Silver Quality Mark - Schools

SGF is a Safeguarding Quality Mark designed for schools and other organisations. At SGF we see schools, like professional sports, as leaders of great safeguarding in their communities.

To be awarded the SGF Safe Silver Mark, there are eight requirements your school needs to have in place.

Simply click through the requirements form and we will be in touch to finish the process.

The system is designed to be simple.

Once you have the award, you can display the SGF badge on the school website and let everyone know your school has outstanding safeguarding systems and practices.

Requirement 9- Is your club registered with the charity commission?

If so, there are three extra requirements you’ll need to fulfil.

  1. Risk assessments must be in place for anyone your charity interacts with including the sites you are based out of.
  2. Staff must be protected by having policies for whistle blowing, discrimination and harassment.
  3. Link trustee and safeguarding as a standing item on the board agenda.
You need to have all 8 of the requirements in place before applying for the SGF Quality Mark. As you don’t currently have this one just contact Antonia and she’ll help you get this in place using this form. Alternatively if you need anything else to help get these requirements in place drop us a message via the form below.
